Question on thermostat - Centaurplus C11

    Hey there,

I've got a question for the forum that I'd really appreciate some help with. Hopefully save me calling out an electrician.

We've recently moved into a new house and had a Nest installed. The Nest 'speaks' to the CentaurPlus C11 timer which is connected to the boiler in the shed. The problem is that when the Nest isn't switched on, the clock on the CentaurPlus loses power, and therefore re-sets. It's only when he Nest turns on that the clock in the shed comes back, but at that stage it's re-set and the program is lost.

This problem renders the Nest pointless, as I have to go out to the shed and turn the CentaurPlus on manually anytime we want heat (as well as having to turn the Nest on first).

Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?

    Thank you!

There is a battery in the timer and it needs replacing
Remove timer from wall and there's a battery flap at rear of timer replace that battery

Great thanks a million Robbie. Will take a look this evening.

Is there anything i need to watch out for when taking the timer off? don't want to break the thing entirely. Does it just clip off, or do I need to unscrew it?

Also, is it possible to change the battery? I.E. is it built in or can I just swap it out with a regular battery?

Sorry for the all the questions, but can't find the answers online, and the instruction manual isn't much use.

There should be 2 screws under the timer then it just hinges upwards
At the rear of it there is a battery pocket and I think it's a button battery
To be on the safe side turn power off to heating before you remove timer
