Asphalt Drive

Hi we got our driveway done with asphalt last week. The driveway is wide in a lot of areas but even at the front it it is about the width of 2 cars there is lines. The machine that they used to roll the tar was prob about 8 - 10 ft wide so there is lines everywhere in the tar. It doesn't look great. Does anyone know should these lines be there? Can it be done without lines? I asked him when he had only done one side of house and he said that they would go out of it so far they have not and I'm presuming now that it is completely dry/set they will not. We haven't paid for the job yet. Thanks.

There shouldn't be any irregularities. It seems that the roller operator had no idea what he was doing. If it's not too bad it can be fixed, but I wouldn't part with any money just yet.
