Any one pick up Lego Boost yet. Like Mindstorm for younger children and a lot cheaper. Looks like fun builds and teaches some basic programming. Most of reviews are good the bad ones are usually people giving out that it doesn't work with phones or older ipads. Seeing if my daughter wants it for Christmas but tempted to just pick it up. Would be nice activity to do with her in the evenings.

My girlfriend is a primary teacher in a local school and they've gotten a few sets of Lego WeDo in. They seem very similar to the ones you've linked above.

She had a go a the WeDo a few months and quite liked it. She only got to do one of the builds. They're little mini builds good for a class setting, the boost is a far bigger kit with much more complex builds.

Our eldest lad is asking Santa for the Mindstorms set. Can't wait to have a play with it!

Hopefully they stay interested and we'll get Mindstorm down the line. Picked up the Boost set this morning in Smyths sale for €130, glad I didn't give into temptation last week and buy it in argos for €152. Now whether to open it or save it for Christmas!
