Damage to aluclad frames on installation

    Hi,
We have just had some aluclad doors and windows installed in an extension.

In one area in particular, the wooden frames appear to have been chipped and damaged upon installation. It's like a tool was used along the junction of 2 frames and the wood had taken the brunt of it. We could overlook a few spots but we have counted a fair few gouges along that junction alone.

Is this to be expected, has it happened to anyone here and what was the resolution?

Also, what is the best way to protect the frames and glass for the remainder of the build? Still a lot of construction left to do.

    Cheers

Damage as you describe is not acceptable, imo, but I would need some pics to comment further.

If you are paying full price for the product, no damage is acceptable.

The company you bought from is usually responsible for retouching. We had some minor scuffs and marks on delivery and the window supplier is sending out a service team at the end of the build to touch up damaged areas.
