Will I pass if it's gone wonky!?, digital reading on an 02 A4 and its just started displaying a pile of jibberish.

Test due in next month or two, can't imagine it'll be a cheap fix, cars not worth alot but it'll be a real kick in the stones if it has to be parked in a hedge because a few numbers ain't displaying.

I don't care about selling on issues as I intended driving it till it dies... but this is no way to die :(

If we look at the NCT tester's manual
    https://www.ncts.ie/media/1004/nct-manual-july-2014.pdf
The NCT tester must record the odometer reading at the time of the test where an odometer is fitted.
If they cannot do this it is a possible fail.

Put it through and see what they say.

Get a replacement set of clocks from a breakers yard and put it in yourself, it wouldn't be that difficult to do. Assuming it's the LCD thats gone wonky and not something else further down the wiring.

Whilst the odomoter reading should be taken, failure to isn't a fail.

You cant just swap out clocks in an audi (or most cars for that matter) they need coding.
