    Hi All,

Lanzarote for a week at Easter 27 March to 03rd April. 2 adults plus 5 yr old and 2 yr old.

I've booked Fariones apartments as reviews are good but can cancel for free.

    I've two questions,

    1. Anyone that has stayed in the Fariones apartments puerto del carmen early in April , will the pools be warm enough for the kids?

    2. Can anyone recommend anywhere else to stay the would be better the Fariones apartments?

Any other info that might be useful also appreciated.

    Thanks.

I haven't stayed there myself, but colleagues of mine have and they liked it.

I can't speak for the temperature of the pools, however a good tip would be to check out reviews of the apartments from March/April this year (and previous years). If the pool wasn't warm, it tends to be something even otherwise positive reviews will mention. Loads of properties will advertise heated pools, but there's only so much a heating unit can do with a big pool that doesn't get covered over at night.

That property is in a good location too. Nestled between the old town and new town so you'll have a huge variety of bars and restaurants to chose from, a short stroll in either direction and you'll also a huge range of shops nearby.

+1 that's the big advantage of the Fariones complex, you're bang in the middle of PDC. Like the previous poster, I haven't stayed in the apartments, we stayed in one of the Fariones bungalows at the other end of the hotel from the apartment building. Having the run of the hotel and all the facilities puts it ahead of a lot of other apartment options and there's usually a few taxis sitting outside.

There's also no surprises when you check-in, the price on the booking is what you pay.

Just a 'heads up' on the Fariones hotel itself - you can only stay there on a full board basis so the guests tend to be a bit older and the evening entertainment in the lounge reflects this. As you have young kids, you'll probably find it a bit dull so don't invest too much time checking it out.

Stayed there a good few years back, can't beat it for location, walk straight from the pool area onto the large sandy beach
We had a one bed, one thing I do remember though, especially if you have young kids or you like a few beers, there was what I felt was a pretty dangerous large step down from the apartment front door into the apartment, in our apartment anyway, just so you are aware
