Funding to study abroad during PhD

    Hi there,

    I'm studying a PhD. My supervisor would like to me to study in EPFL Switzerland for 6 months with an old colleague of his, which has verbally been agreed. I'm funded through IRCSET, which funds students rather than projects. Does anyone know a way to look for additional funding (e.g. any funding bodies that support this kind of things) so I can afford to live in Switzerland (with IRCSET stipend I'd be struggling with the Swiss Franc being strong) as well as keep my rented accommodation in Dublin. My supervisor doesn't seem to have funding himself.
