Removing Shower Tray Bead

My shower tray has a plastic bead between the wall tile and tray.

Is this typically bedded into the seal/silicone underneath?

Can I just pull it off as I want to reseal around the tray?

    Advice welcome. Thanks.

There are different types of plastic strips. The most common one sits on the tray and also goes up the wall an inch or so. You then tile over the strip. Most likely you will need to remove the bottom row of tiles to remove the strip.

    Can you post a photo?
I'm assuming that the water is leaking. Have you checked the tiles themselves and the grout. Any movement in the tiles is a bad sign.
