    Anyone know of any cheap car parking or free parking weather it's street parking or in a car park near / beside beaumont hospital? TIa

    There's a multi-storey pay car-park just outside the main entrance to the hospital

    There's a surface park opposite the Beaumont Private

    No idea Pal I was just explaining what the other poster meant when he said 27b. There's housing estates on each side of the Hospital if you don't mind walking for a few minutes.

    Best off to get the bus, you are asking a lot saying you want free parking. Just get the bus.

    Hospital Parking charges are outrageous - it is a revenue generating tax - in beaumont 2.40 per hour, visiting times are 3-4 and 6-8, now if you go even 1 minute over the hour it is 4.80.
    The 1st fifteen minutes should be free, before they start charging. The 9 euro cap per day, you cant pre pay for a days parking, so you could be landed with 4.80 and 7.20

    Think the mater hospital is between €3-4 or something per hour.

    James' is bad too. Went 6 minutes over an hour last year and had to pay for 2 hours. I wouldn't mind but any time I've been the car park has been full and I've had to queue outside so they're obviously raking in the money. That and the fact the ticket machine is slow and the people using it are clueless I probably would have made it back in time, I'd say plenty of people have overpaid.

    Tallaght Hospital is a rip off too. I mean for Christ sake some of these people are dying. It's a disgrace how expensive it is. Whatever about charging for parking but is it really necessary to be so expensive? It's not like you're in the city center a for a meal and a pint...
