Netgear Nighthawk VDSL/ADSL advise

    My ISP is EiR and I had the old F1000 modem and wanted to change modem without having to sign new contract.

    I bought the ADSL version of the nighthawk. I think it's a great machine for me but I have issues with 2 things, wonder if anyone has a guide or walkthrough:

    1. We have TV with Eir as backup in the kitchen and since I got the new modem the TV is not picking up the sound or picture but will pick up the menu and programs on the channels. Now I understand there may be some setting to enable or config within the UI of the Nighthawk but I'm not fully capable of network config. Does anyone have a similar issue that they have solved and could share the process?.. it's something to do with Eir using a Comcast type receiver for the TV signal into the TV...

    2. My better half is the only one having the exclamation mark at times on her phone when on WiFi and she has brand new s8 edge so it's not the phone being out of date. Now I understand I could manually assign an IP to her phone but is there another simple solution without this?

    2.a I went ahead anyway and got a free modem from Eir with 5ghz the f2000 or whatever it is. Would it be of benefit to bridge the nighthawk to this when it arrives or just leave the new stock modem and just try flog my new modem on done deal to get some of my money back... I really like this Nighthawk if I could get the TV sorted and the Mrs exclamation mark would be best.

    Open to comments but more so advice on fixes (I've tried Netgear but no help after calling and emailing and filing a resolution ticket)
