Clearing out the attic ... I came across a leather bound desk clock, which must have belonged to my father-in-law

It's dusty, and a little scratched but seems to work OK ... I've wound it up, and it runs for several days. I thought it ran a little fast, but I'm sure that can be modified.

I'm finding it hard to get info online about it, or what might help me date it. My best guess is 60's ... maybe 70's?

I don't have pictures of the actual clock, but it looks like this one here:

Nice find! There might be markings on the movement that would help date and identify it?

Meant to say ... the Jaeger-LeCoultre logo seems correct, but there's very little else to go on, no model name, number etc

I'm slow to open the case and read the movement ... in case I damage it somehow ... I've no idea of value, but if it's my father-in-laws', there will be sentimental value if nothing else

I'll post pictures later on ... maybe you guys will spot something

Jaeger-LeCoultre? Niiiiiice. Very well regarded watch company. I'd reckon 60's too going by that sample pic.

Lovely piece and a fantastic find, not that you are interested in the price but a quick google finds the following:

DIAL: Green leather, dart indexes. Dauphine brass hands.DIM: 13 cm x 12 cmDial, case and movement in good condition

Knowing Trouty he's just translated that into microbrewery beers and single malts. And fizzlesticks.
