Hi. I have a Volkswagen Caddy Van 2006. It has passed the DOE etc and is regularly serviced by the 'local mechanic'. problem is one issue that no one can resolve. When the van is driving around 100kmh or some times less or more, it starts to miss or jump slightly (there is propably a technical term for this). Anyone I have asked, says its fuel related and the mechanic has changed the fuel filters. However the issue remains. recently however on longer drives, it can gets a pit worse and the engine warning light (coil sign) comes 'on' And when I pull over and stop. And then its fine again. Now I could be wrong, but I feel that when the engine light does come on, the jumping issue stops !!!. I am looking to sell the van and want to eliminate this problem before sale, so any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

First things first.... Bring tt to a competent mechanic and get a diagnostic scan done... Then go from there.

    Petrol of Diesel?

I'm assuming diesel as he said the coil light came on which is for the glow/heater plugs.

A decent scan tool with live data should be attached, vehicle then driven until fault appears, screen capture data at that point and investigate. Its guess work otherwise
