If it doesn't say "Free delivery in the UK" or some variant on that then it's not eligible for free delivery anywhere.

Click on some of the other items on the same page as your water bottle and you'll see what I mean.

What was the total cost of your order? It has to be at least £25 to qualify for free delivery.

Ahhh maybe that was it. I think my items had come to less than £25. Just compiled an order there for over £30 and it's gone through as free payment.

So is it the case that once something says Free UK delivery and once you spend £25+ that it'll come through with no P+P?

I do find Amazon really annoying in relation to delivery fees. I was looking at some babygrows, put two into the basket at about £4 each and delivery was over £30.

Generally that may well be the case but the main point I always found was that the items had to be either sold by amazon or "fulfilled" by Amazon and of course total £25 or more.

You can also type into the search box something like "£2 add ons" or "£5 add ons" depending on what amount you need to spend to get you over the finishing line. There is also a website that allows you to search for these items that will narrow the "top up" amount required to be accurate to the nearest few pence. Someone posted it recently but I cant recall what it is now.

Also the live chat/customer care are normally very helpful and if necessary you can choose an option for them to call you if you need help.

There is a Chrome Extension called Amazon Shipping Filter that may help - give it a try.

Just tick the Free Uk Delivery filter box.

There have been a few times I could get free delivery while below the £25 limit. My theory is they have shipping built into the prices, and if you select several items which are small & light then they might offer free delivery since the post is not costing them much more.

Remember your basket will have Irish VAT applied, UK is 20% here 23%.

So a basket saying £24.50 is going to change to £25.11 at checkout so you should get free delivery. Some might think they are just under and buy another item or select a dearer one, when they could be over the limit. And as I said I got it free before under £25 so you can just attempt an order if you are anywhere near it.

EDIT: Just tested there and it is still doing it. I can get 4x2gb microsd cards for £6.16 each at checkout with free delivery £24.64 (which is including Irish vat)

These were £6.01 before Irish VAT was applied

I often take advantage of Amazon's 3 for £20 or 2 for £10 (or 4 for £20) deals on blu-rays and it usually takes the full total price of the items before the discount into account and always qualifies for free shipping.
