Vokera 25A Boiler Leak

As per the title, boiler stopped firing this week, guy just out to check it tells me that there has been a leak in the boiler itself and the the boiler is flooded, circuit board etc

Quoting €1400 for repair. It's a 6 year old boiler which has been serviced well as recently as May.

He said to replace we'd be looking at €2300. Is it better to cut my losses here and get a different make boiler?

Boiler did have issues in May with not maintaining pressure and having to be topped up. We were advised there was a possible leak in the system and a solution could be used to seal. I asked could this leak in the actual boiler have been the problem but he's said no

    Any thoughts?

What exactly did he say was causing the leak?

He said he wasn't sure, sometimes these things just happen.

Looks like replacement is the best option. The boiler on offer is an Ideal Logic. Haven't heard of them and don't want to be facing a similar situation in a few years.

    Any recommendations?
