Can anyone recommend me a decent at home laptop for the above price range or under? Not for gaming or anything really just for browsing and social media etc

One with a decent speed to it if possible to access couple programmes together at once

If i were you I'd get a refurbished one. I use a refurbished desktop in work and it works perfectly. Fairly sure my one came from IT central, look up their website.

New, you will only get a pretty slow one for that money. Maybe a Chromebook would suit - very lightweight and they do nip along a little faster as the OS is not as heavy as Windows, but you can do most things you can do on Windows with it - suits browsing and media perfectly.

2nd hand would get you a much faster 2nd hand laptop, an i5 from about 2011/2012 or similar.

Something like this would be good. Similar to an i3 and has an SSD so overall would feel extremely fast, and it's under budget also.
