    Hi all,

    I have a Macbook Pro with liquid damage, which I have since replaced.

    What should I do with it? Unsure where to throw out broken electronics :confused:

    Thanks!

    Just leave it prominently displayed in your home, then visitors will know you have a macbook.

    Alternatively -> recycling center.

    Sell it on Adverts.ie. There are parts that can still be used.

    Any suggestions on how much to price it at?

    Bring to repair shop to see if can be fixed, if selling make sure all sensitive info is wiped.

    I have brought it to several places, and was told it cannot be fixed and can't get rid of any info on it as it is completely broken so can't switch it on.

    Take out motherboard smash with hammer and bring to recycling centre or shop like power city.

    There is a place that takes in old tech gear for charity recycling for third world etc.

    camara.org

    They are located in Chapelizard, Dublin 20. They came out one day to collect stuff from UCD, Belfield and I think maybe another date organised for November. I had a collection of keyboards, cables etc as well as several laptops with various issues which they were happy to take. They promised they would clean off all stored data.
