Subject refresher course

I am a qualified business studies teacher for over 12 years now but have never actually taught it. I have been teaching a subject I am not qualified in in a special school. I am currently doing the special ed course in St. Pats college and if I get a learning support post when I have the course completed I will need to teach the subject in which I am qualified..
Therefore I was wondering if anyone knows if there is such a thing as a refresher course in teaching business studies for teachers who may have taken a long career break or like myself may not have ever taught their subject.
I would not feel confident taking a post with business studies hours without doing some kind of refresher course first.

Any help or advice would be great.

I understand where you're coming from.

But Honestly, just download the past papers from examinations.ie

Familiarise yourself with the textbook again.

Talk to a current business teacher.

You'll be fine

I suppose I was hoping there was a course I could do . Would be a huge help to my confidence. I did hear of some refresher courses but can't seem to find any now that I'm looking.

There will be courses due to the new junior cycle Business studies which will help. Someone said PDST are not running any until January, but I'm not sure. That would give you some guidance for JC level at least.
