    Hi all,

I am looking for advice from people who may have completed or who would recommend a 'Bio Medical Device Manufacture' course at CIT Cork in order to get a job in the medical device/pharma industry I have a technical background so the course content does not present a problem.

I have worked in medical devices as a contractor over 8 years ago as an operator but have found it impossible to get even a call back from agencies. I am hoping that the course would give me an edge and open some doors for me.

The course is expensive so it is a big risk.

    Any thoughts?

Did you ask your agents, or contacts in Linkedin if it would add to your experience. It might work for some people who dont have any medical, but not add much to your..

Why do you think you are not getting the calls. Are there specific jobs, your cv goes for and then you dont get called.

Can you ask a reason why you dont get called and if this would make the difference.

What roles are you particularly interested in applying for? I would contact recruiters or companies directly (if they have a talent acquisition or hr rep on LinkedIn) to ask what are the core competencies and prior experience and/or qualifications required for those roles. You can then make an educated decision on whether you will benefit from your investment in the course.
