What to do with UK Sterling?

I have a reasonable amount of UK Sterling sitting in a Ulsterbank account in N.I. It earns me zero!. What can I do with it to earn some interest? I'm completely green to investment etc so want to keep things basic and straight forward as possible. Because of the poor GBP to Euro exchange rates I don't think I'll need to…
