Use ROS when I am no longer self employed?

My husband is a full time PAYE worker with some part time farm income. We are jointly assessed. I used to be self employed and therefore did our joint Form 11 on ROS in previous years. However I have ceased self employment and when I log onto ROS there is now no option to file a return for 2016.

Does my husband need to now register for ROS himself to pay & file re. farm? Or can I somehow change my status on my ROS to do our joint return, seeing as I have the certificate on my laptop (and will be filling it out for him anyway)?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you filed a TRCN1 Form or wrote to inform Revenue that you were no longer self-employed? If so, that would explain why there's no Form 11 there for you to complete.

I suggest that you use the "my enquiries" option within ROS, as that is probably the best way to get a speedy and definitive answer to your question. They may even be able to put in a 2016 Form 11 for you to complete on both of your behalves.

Thanks for reply. I ended up ringing Revenue and they said my husband needs to sign up for ROS himself, so just waiting for them to send out the RAN now.
