I was thinking of booking a few days in early Dec in either NYC or Boston using Norwegian. Would anyone have experience of both airports ( providence and Stewart) and could give advice on which might offer more convenient transfers to their respective cities.

I flew to and from Stewart during the summer. It's a very small airport, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I was heading north from the airport, not into NYC, but there was a bus to NYC waiting outside the airport building when I arrived. I saw a poster saying the fare was 20 dollars each way for adults.

If you want a ticket to get you from A to C and then get the bus to B, and you don't care about service then sure. Probably won't cost more for a decent airline at that time of year.

I though Norwegian was fine, one you go in with the knowledge and expectation that it's a no-frills service. It saved me a couple of hundred euro on my round trip.

Fair enough if you saved money and you are happy with what they offer. Especially as you didnt need to actually get to the city. Will suit some and not others. Good to have the choice for as long as it lasts.
