Baxi boiler not heating water

My boiler will heat the water when the heat is turned on but recently I tred it for the water heater setting and the voiler does not fire up.

There is a note that a plumber may have to adjust this. Is this a simple thing?

I ask because I want to go nest or climite route.

We can eat using immersion switch but those smart devices mention zoning etc. can the house be divided into upstairs and downstairs (and water heating) separately if we install a smart device?

The piping of the house would have to be able to accommodate zoning
Smart controls only control the zones
If they're not there they can't be controlled

Thanks. House is a 2006 semi detached. I assume, though, zoning is an extra in house construction. How would plunber know?

A house of that age should have 2 zones heating & hot water
Some are not done as true 2 zone as in
Heating water separately from heating and visa Versa
If you not sure it would be best to call
In a plumber to check your setup
