The last water Outage in Ratoath that lasted almost a week is still fresh in the memory and since that we have had further outages......
Today ... another fault, this time in Staleen has taken our water again ALL DAY!!!
    Not good enough
The solution for Ratoath, Ashbourne and Surrounds is at risk everytime there is a fault back up at Drogheda. We need a better more reliable supply. Come to F**k is this the third world or what
All day the water is off and not only does it mean having to scour the shops for 5Litre bottles but the appliances get fecked up, Immersion cylinders dry up, their heating elements get burnt out, Storage tanks take an age to fill whenever the supply returns because of already piss poor pressure in the area and at the end of it all we have to get rid of the air locks in the system.
    It's a FLIPPIN JOKE!!!!!!!

    Hi Mairead,

I appreciate your apology however words are only words and are no use at all unless there is a plan of action to back them up.

This is the 3rd Full outage since July and we all remember July right? 5 days or so without a drop of water.

What was taken from the latest problem in Staleen. I'll tell you what i take from it.

    1. Staleen covers too large an area
    2. There is something seriously wrong with the Drogheda Supply with the amount of faults occurring at source
    3. There is no Network resillience or re-routing of water possible in the event of a Source fault
    3. Ratoath and Neighbouring areas needs a proper solution

This is going beyond a laugh and a joke now... It needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency by Irish Water, Local Councils and Politicians.

Stop kicking the can down the road
