Worked out at €4.99 for me via Paypal..

.. can't think of an immediate use for it, but I have Alexa so some use may dawn on me eventually.

    Thanks OP.

The price will cone down again. Using them with Alexa or Google Home looks cool. I will probably use mine to fool burglars.

So you can remotely activate this device and anything plugged in in serial with it remotely via your phone. But to do that, it needs access to WiFi. But you unplugged your WiFi when you left the house. So you can't connect to the plug to activate the wifi until after you connect to the plug to tell it to power up the wifi.

Conclusion : Am I the only person in the world who unplugs their router?

Router would typically be 4-6c per day to run I'd rather earn the 20 squid a year than be plugging the fecking thing in and out

mine arrived yesterday, works perfectly over wifi + 4g. got two, and they work as a group when you configure a scene. is anyone planning to use these with any home automation platforms?

Nice... got set mine up there with Alexa too.

Best use I could think for mine during the nippy winter months - about 20 minutes before going to bed:

    "Alexa, turn on blanket"

Triggers the electric underblanket to come on upstairs...

    Yes, I am aware I'm 33 going on 75.

PS - I am ever so slightly dubious of keeping it plugged in the whole time... think I read an article before of someone opening something similar to a cheap Chinese WiFi / Smart plug and was hideously put together.

Got Alexa set up with Kindle tablet , using reverb on Android s7, will Google home work with these without a Google home speaker ? Using Google Assistant i found app in list of apps but says this device is not set up , i have no ' home control' in Google home app, in Ireland ,very good product, ordered a sonoff 2 gang switch from gear best . Cheers op.

Go to your language settings and change it to English (US) and if your device is running above Android 5.0 Lollipop you'll get the Google assistant on your phone, you'll then see "Home Control" in the Assistant settings and from there you add the device, it's called 'Smart we Link'.

I'm not sure if it works because I'm still waiting on mine to arrive but I'm using the assistant on my phone to control the Yeelight that was posted in B.A and it works brilliantly so hopefully the plugs do too.
