Alu-clad look a lot better than PVC.

The Alu-clad frames have an aluminium external with a timber internal section. A pvc frame is pvc all the way through. All-clad are better in most regards but are much more expensive

Designing an alu slider at the moment that couldn't be done in pvc or timber. Would rather be working with timber but every material has its limits

Timber is best from enviro prespective followed by Alu
