No debs date!

I know there's been a handful of posts addressing this issue of the years but basically my debs is in September 2018 and I've got no date ( I'm a girl ).
I know the mods will be rolling their eyes reading this as it's a year away but I don't know any guys at all because I don't really go "out" and I'm shy. Guys I do know said it's not their thing when I suggested it.
I know people say you can go on your own but I feel it wouldn't be the real thing if I didn't have a debs date as everyone at my schools debs this year had a date. I just would feel left out if you get me.
I asked my friends and they don't know anyone I can bring. I can't put it out of my mind because it's the talk of the school every day!
Just wondering was there any shy guys or just guys in general from Dublin who feel like they're gonna be in the same situation and need a date? #desperateiknow
You can move this if it's in the wrong forum!

None of your friends have brothers up for a big nosh? Slightly safer than finding a randomer online (though of course we have no weirdos here on boards).

I decided I wasn't going to mine. Really not my cup of tea.

Anyway, the morning of the debs, my mates decided they couldn't go without me. Ended up going, last minute with my mate's sister. Horrible night, wish I never went.

Don't get stressed about it, there's plenty of time..

I was listening to the radio the other day and apparently this is a common problem. They were talking about an app you can use to link up with others locally who need a debs date too. Obviously it's good to check out the person first if you know anyone who goes to same school etc. I can't recall the name of the app but it was on Classic Hits 4fm and had debs in the name of the app. If I remember more I'll pop back and update.

Unfortunately not. My friends brothers are like 4 and 32 lol which I think would be slightly more weird than finding someone online.
Your right Spurious, definitely no weirdos here on this thread with you as a mod :)

Tell that to my school who want us to start coughing up 20 euro deposits starting Monday ugh. I think I'll just have to pay the 20 euro and hope I find someone to go with as there's loads of time yet. If I don't, I'll lose my place.

If yoy remember the name, please let me know as I tried searching on the Google play store and couldn't find anything. What day was the podcast from do you know? Oh yes I'd definitely be meeting up with the guy a few times before the actual debs! Thank you!!

I think it was a Facebook thing, not an app.

You could try this on Twitter

Luckily she can't ban me!! :pac:

Seriously, it's way too early to be getting worried about this. The reason everyone is talking about it in school right now is because it's being organised / deposits due in, etc.
