    Hi all,

I've just completed the ACA CAP1 accounting exams. I took three this time, and they were all repeats. My company has a policy that if you fail an exam twice you lose your job. I was sick for the first one but sat it anyway as I had good preparation done. However, I hadn't been sleeping well and ran out of steam, and am pretty sure I failed it marginally as I only did 4 out of five questions.

What are my options -- can I speak to HR/my boss, a doctor .... or is there anything else can be done?

It'd be really useful to hear if anyone has found themselves in a similar situation. Any ideas/experience you have would be invaluable.

    Thanks as always,
    Conor

Sick certs might help you, if you were sick you might have been able to defer the whole thing. Speaking with them about the situation might help as well.

Wait until the exam results come up you might be worrying for nothing hopefully. Best of luck with everything :)

    Thanks tanit.

Hmm, wondering if I can even get a sick cert at this stage. Any idea?

Talk with your doctor that's the only thing it occurs to me.

Fit to sit and all of that, if you went and did them then you were disclaiming that you were fit to sit. Only real hope is that you actually don't fail, because if you do, you'll be out of your job.
Not to sound harsh, but if you can't get CAP 1 in 2 tries, it's probably for your own benefit anyways because it only gets exponentially more difficult.
    Truth is harsh man, sorry.
