    Tyreland - Any reviews?

Pricing seems keen, a little more expensive than http://www.seanmcmanustyres.com/ who would be my usual go to (cheaper than online). I don't have any business in Drogheda this weekend though and can't fully justify to save €40.

As many of these franchise places, it actually depends on the location itself rather than the whole franchise. Had some dealings with Tyrelands Swords in the past and couldn't fault them. Their tracking machine is not state of the art though.

I ended up using McManus tyres in Drogheda. Very competitively priced (better than tyre land) and don't make you feel like they're doing you a favour. They've been around a long time, I remember going there with my dad as a kid. Worth the trip up the M1 if convenient.

I'd have nothing bad to say about the one on Kimmage, the guys seemed very helpful and reasonable

I’ve been using kimmage for years and find them great.

Much better to call ahead and give them time to get the right tires for you but I’ve driven out of there with almost brand new top brand tyres for €45 each..

I’ve used them twice; v competitive price on new tyre and fast job on plugging a hole.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but I am in the market for new tyres for my car. Thanks to owning a BMW, I need 225 35 20 and 255 30 20 (different sizes front and rear, run flats). Murphy & Gunn have quoted me approx €1,900 for the full set, while a local supplier can do for €1,500 (both prices including fitting etc).

I've been in contact with Tyreland, and they're coming in significantly cheaper at €1,150. This is attractive obviously, but I want to know what others experiences with them have been. Has anyone used them to change similar tyres on a BMW in the past?

    Thanks in advance

Are you comparing like with like? Some of the very cheap tyres wear a lot quicker

I'm a fan of tyreland but these prices mean nothing without knowing what you have been quoted for..

Tyres range significantly in both price and quality..

Sorry - took it for granted that you'd assume Pirelli as OEM.

All for Pirelli tyres - same as currently on the car. I also have quotations for Dunlops, marginally cheaper, but not significantly

In that case i'd be biting tyreland's arm off..

Been going to the Kimmage branch for years and find them great.

It really seems like a great price, I suppose I'm just doing my due diligence before I start the biting :)

That's a great price, thats coming in cheaper than online prices not even including the cost of having them fitted.

    Hi Dudara,
Did you go with Tyreland in the end?
I'm in a similar boat with my BMW (run flats with diff sizes front and back), €1379 is the quote from Joe Duffy but for Bridgestone tyres, with Tyreland or plenty of others i can get better standard (e.g. Pirelli, Continental etc.) for about €800.

I've used McManus' in Dundalk before and they were good just not sure on Tyreland (i'm living in Dublin now).

Yup, went with Tyreland in the end. €1150 for the set, all fitted, in the Kimmage outlet. I went with Dunlop in the end, rather than Pirelli, as there was a longer lead time to order from the factory. No real difference in price though. Couldn’t complain at all.

cheers Dudara placed my order with the Glasnevin Depot, managed to get a set of Continental Sport 5 for €760 about €60 cheaper than the Pirellis and slightly less lead time.

    fingers crossed all works out.

I wouldn't use tyreland again after they ruined one of my lock nuts and almost lost my lock nut key by giving to another customer (who was thankfully on the ball enough to realise the mistake).

Nothing but good experiences with the kimmage depot.
