Cumberland Sauce

    Does anyone know where I might find Cumberland Sauce in Dublin? Ive tried numers Tesco, Supervalu's and a couple of M&S, I can't find it anywhere!

    I'd never heard of it before now. I looked it up and as it's for game-type meats you probably won't find it in mainstream shops.

    Fallon & Byrne seems to be the go to place for hard to find stuff. Maybe give them a call.

    You could make it. Seems easy enough

    Thanks for the reply. Restaurant I used to work in as a kid always served it with pate. Ive gotten some really nice pate recently but its not thr same without the sauce!

    I used to make it all the time, but can't find my cookbook with the recipe in it. It is easy and not too different from cranberry sauce.

    It's easy to make, keeps forever in the fridge. I love it with pate too so always have some in the fridge. You just need to buy a jar of redcurrant jelly and the other ingredients are pretty easy, orange/lemon/mustard/port or I use sherry, who has port in the press? I always have sherry for the old trifle!
