I've a 2014 rio. I'm unable to lock the car drivers door with the key fob yet the other doors do lock. Then I've to lock the drivers door with the key. The same happens when I've to open it. Once in the car and starting my drive the car trys to automatically lock but fails and the car won't lock from the lock button on the dash.
    Can anyone please help?

Sounds like an issue with the central locking motor in the drivers door, or possibly a wiring fault in the loom to that motor.
It works when you turn the key in the door because you are physically turning the lock, it won't work from the switch or fob because the motor isn't operating properly. Bring it to your local mechanic/auto electrician/service agent.

Hey Archer - just wondering if (when) you got this fixed, did Kia tell you what the problem was?
