My filling is moving

    Hi guys,

I have a filling which was done in the last 3/4 months.
Everything fine after a day. However today during dinner as I was chewing food I had a sharp pain. Quickly went to the mirror for fear my filling came out. It appears to be a little loose. I can feel it against my top tooth as grind lightly. I can also see a bit of movement when pressing against lightly using finger.
Is this common? Should a filling become loose after 3/4 months. Would a dentist cover the cost of the looseness?
    Thanks

Normally would cover cost , depends on the circumstances.
For example , they may have said ideally tooth needs a crown but will try a filling instead?
