Is it possible to overnight at the beach carpark at Rossnowlagh DOnegal? Are there barriers/no camping signs there? Heading up for the Masters Lifesaving Champs this month and need to organise my accomm. I know there is the Boortree camp ground not far that have pitches from €20 but just wondering do i need to do that. Recently parked up at Curracloe in Wexford and it was fine to overnight in the beach carpark.

    Thanks in advance!

Last time we passed by Rossnowlagh - 2 years ago - we could find nothing for stealth camping. Yellow lines, notices, and barriers everywhere, except for "proper" campsites.
For a simple pitch we headed inland, up the hills a little and found a quiet spot near some forestry to camp in overnight.

I haven't stayed there for about 5 years but it host the surfing inter counties and other events where surfers go in their campers with out any problem. Worst case if you look at google maps there are laneways north of the main beach carpark where I'd say you will be fine but you'll have to walk to the pub.
