As is my way I, I occasionally peruse the Irish website of auto trader.

But lately it seems to be off line.

    Anyone got any ideas?

The UK site is working fine.

    Are they the same company?

Driving.ie, which was powered by carzone but was a much better and easier to use website is also diverting to carzone now

They must be trying to maximize the traffic on the carzone website which has been awful to use and buggy since they updated it about 10 years ago and was one of the reasons for its demise imo.

Driving.ie was similar to the old carzone and was a much more straightforward nonsense website to use compared to the newer carzone website.

Carzone is impossible to use on a mobile device/tablet

It's a horrible website to use.

Autotrader uk is great though. Wonder why they don't just rebrand and use that as a template? They're all the same company right?

Driving.ie was simple and easy to use, something the newer carzone.ie isn't and I rarely use the latter. With the taking over of autotrader.ie they probably wanted to reduce costs by consolidating down to one search engine especially now with donedeal upping their charges.

I use carsireland.ie mostly these days.

I use only donedeal and autotraderUK these days. Donedeal for irish cars and autotrder Uk for UK cars.
I don't find either site particularly great but they both have massive traffic

I thought carzone died around 2012?
