    Congratulations.

Yes, you'll get your licence without CPC. You are not required to have CPC unless you are going to literally be a professional driver. You can even use a group 2 vehicle in the course of your work and still not require a CPC as long as your profession isn't as a professional driver. Eg a builder with a small rigid wouldn't need CPC as long as his core profession is not as a driver. If he hired a driver for the truck, then that driver would need CPC. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, you will need a fresh medical under these circumstances. In fact, as someone holding group 2 entitlements, you will need to provide a fresh medical every time you add a new category to your licence. Eg, if you pass the motorbike and wish to add the category, you will be issued a fresh 10 year licence from that day and that would require you provide a fresh 5 year medical against your pre-existing group 2 categories - they make you avail of the full 5 years whether you like it or not.

    I passed cpc part 2 last week....39/45.

Basically it will be 3 short stories of 3 different drivers doing deliveries. It is relatively straight forward enough.

My questions revolved mainly around tachograph rules, a question about the penalty for interfering with a tachograph and general proper loading and securing the loads. (Walk around and can check questions too)

The stories are available in the back of the theory test book, there are 9 in total, but no questions just the stories. Some questions that others have been asked are posted on boards.

I have the book in work and if you want I can scan the stories and send them on to you to save you wasting €20 on the book.

    Part 2 of the CPC:
You will have 135 minutes to answer the 45 questions, 15 questions for each story, you need 28/45 to pass and at least 5 right in each one.

They are multiple choice just like the theory test so there's no need to be anyway nervous.
I answered all 45 in approximately 25 minutes.

    Part 4 the practical part:
Have to do this next Tuesday assuming I pass part 3, the driving test.

I have all the questions and answers for this part on email with a sample result sheet outlining what the grade 1 and grade 2 faults are etc and how many constitute a fail of the practical.

It also involves a walk around check of the truck.

Fair play man! Wish I knew you when doing my test in 2010!
