Sky broadband just not cutting it

Hi, we live in a rural area and don't have great selection when it comes to broadband. Pretty much everyone uses satellite! We are with sky which had been ok but is now purely useless. 2 of us can't be on our phones at the same time and using it is out of the question in the evening! My question is... is there a loop hole we can use to get out our contract without having to pay a massive fine?

    I feel your pain.

It doesn't really matter if it's sky / eir / vf etc it will all be the same as they all use the same openeir exchange.

Nothing will change unless (1) the exchange is upgraded or (2) you can get FTTH

Have you looked at the fibre roll out map?

Did it start off well and then degrade over time? That happened to me and sky tried everything but nothing worked. They let me out of my contract without penalty.

Fibre is only coming to the village near us but not as far as us!! We have trees blocking our line of sight to the nearest tower which doesn't help!! I might get on to sky and see can they do anything! We are not even getting 1gb!!!
