My friend was bullied by her boss and she recorded some of it on her phone. She had to leave her job and now she is taking a complaint of constructive dismissal. Is it good or bad for her to use the recording as evidence?

Thanks in advance for your opinion!

Been asked a few times in Legal Discussion (search for "voice" or "recording").

Here's a thread I remember it being discussed that should help: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057712374

Not legal advice, just a view on general issues arising.

It might be a good idea for OP's friend to write up a transcript of the contents of the recording.

There could be evidentiary problems about the admissibility of a covert recording.

A written transcript could be offered as a recollection of the contents of the conversation being adduced in evidence.

If evidence is supportive of the case being made and validly admissible it is good.

Ultimately, any legal matters arising should be dealt with by whoever is representing OP.
