Controller for HRV?

    Hello all,

Just installed & got running my HRV system. Not all the ducting is complete but enough to start it running. So far so good.

The HRV unit is an old unit purchased second hand but unused, a villavent combini. Basically 2 EBM fans inside.

I'm using just a simple variable speed fan controller to operate the unit at the moment but am looking for a controller that can run a schedule & ideally have a boost function on demand.

Any ideas of a unit that would be suitable?

    Thanks,

    Leo

Any photo of the unit ?
Are the fans AC or DC ?
How is the heat exchanger health !?

Just 2 EBM AC fans (G2E133), nothing fancy. Heat exchanger is basically new & uncontaminated. At the moment I'm using this to control it:

    Well...nice one !

I will do with an Arduino and/or Raspberry PI.
Buy 3 (three) Speed Controllers and create 3 separate circuits, each switch set on 33%,66% and 100% of the total output speed.
By using the Ardo/Pi controllers,set-up timers based on day and time and activate/deactivate/selects outputs via opto-relays that directs the AC electricity via each of the speed Controllers circuits to the fans.

Install sensors for temperatures and humidity (DTH22 i think),read the AD input and play with speeds, flow and so on...

It looks like a lot of fun !

I have a mHRV compact size for my greenhouse,as attached.
Bought all the parts for the automated works but just no time to start...
Pi gives you a webabsed control based with a nice custom interface..

Thanks for the suggestion, a good way to go about it but if there is a more 'off the shelf' option I'd rather go for that. I think there would be a lot of hours to get a homebrew solution to work well.
