Bird ID in DUB 4

    Hi All

    Looking for some help IDing a bird I snapped this morning.

    Some details
    Taken at 10:00 today
    Location: Dublin 4
    Height of perch 2.2mtrs

    Yes, common enough in many urban and suburban gardens. Where there are smaller birds there will be sparrowhawks.

    If you feed the little birds the sparrow hawk will regard the area as his/her private takeaway. You can watch them swoop but often the birds are not fast enough to escape. Have seen them chase blue tits and chaffinch into nearby hedge and come out with their prey. They have had a devastating effect on wood pigeons here.
