The only actual relevant guest...Owen Roddy...love or hate MMA...only got 5 mins...the fcuking sheep got more than that!!!
Other than that it was pat on the head Irish bollox..arent ye great suffering thru all that tragedy.
And he fcuking plugged the christmas show ffs....Gay Byrne must be turning in his grave!

The Late Late show is well past its sell by date IMO. The format is painfully old and predictable.

Light entertainment with a mix of the latest chart topping acts in the 'country & western' charts followed by an embarrassing interview on the couch with an ex alcoholic who thought they'd moved on ..... until Tubs starts to dig back into their sad & depressing past, thereby turning what could have been a great chat with a laugh, into an excruciating drudge fest of the worst kind.

So tell Mr now guest on the couch, how did you feel when your husband died of a drugs overdose?

Honestly, too many times I've seen guests being destroyed & made to 'well up' with tears instead of being allowed to enjoy themselves on the show.

Why does Tubs do that?
I presume its somebody in his earpiece saying "that's enough of the happy stuff, now go back into a bad episode from their past, and extract some teeth while you're at it".

God save us, its woeful viewing.

An Post made some amount of money out of that Competition. €250,000 entries and the prize was a very standard Clio.(They could have at least given away a high end Clio)

The Late Late Show is an unabashed promoter of certain people and agendas and a censor of other people and ideas. We the [potential] audience have no say in who is to be on and we cannot contact the show. Its methods are akin to those of Stalinist style personality cult maker. The mediocre are pushed at us and we are supposed to revere mediocre to downright awful comedians, singers/bands and authors who have a lot less talent than the many out there who are blocked by the media.

I didn't even watch a second of it last Friday. Looking at the guest list, while it was not outright awful, it is sure to get worse and worse as the season goes on. The lowest point will be the Valentine's special in February. This show is so bad it makes all the other editions of it look good. A 100% smutfest. Fans of lowgrade smut are already catered for with all that Mrs Brown's Boys that is always on so why give us more?

I agree that the show should have ended in 1999 after Gay Byrne left. Gay was right to get out of it when he did as the show was slipping in the 1990s. He realised that. The Kenny and Tubridy period from 1999 to date has been by and large woeful. One word seems to sum it up: boybands!

Cynicism? Any time I've come across it it's been a seriously ill,actually dying!,victim of abuse or some other unfortunate being prodded by yer man to delve into the depths of their misery.
