Not the vax pet anyway it's crap. I think henry is the most reliable rock solid never let's me down I've two dogs that she'd mad. It's calmest down now though thank God.

Henry has been the best for me too, I find it a bit awkward to move around but good for removing dog hair.

Miele fab machines. I don't think you can buy powerful vacuums anymore I think they're now limited to 900watts from today. A 900w vacuum will be crap no matter it's brand.

Would also prefer to use any old Henry over any new xVax models, as others mentioned, they really suck.

Miele C3 Cat & Dogs all the way these days I'd say. Personally I got a Miele S8 Cat & Dogs which is slightly more powerful but honestly Miele is the route to go.

Miele C3 here too but the HEPA one as it came with an extra attachment for wooden floors. I've used the pet filter in it too and didn't smell any difference - the pet filter is meant to cut down odour.

Miele here too. And I really love my Dysons. I have a Dyson stick one now for quick going over, but it, and my dyson upright, is nothing compared to the Miele. That will lift your carpets if you have it on the highest setting.

The European ruling re the 900watts came into effect today, but they are still allowed to sell current stock so you need to be quick..

    .

lol I have to stand on one end of the mats or they lift with the Miele :p.
I also have a stick Hoover and surprisingly good and the same - great for a quick tidy but we need the big guns for the deep clean lol

I'm about to push the button on buying a robot vaccum. I cant handle daily vacuuming anymore so I'm automating. No idea whether it'll make a difference, but at least I can blame the robot rather than my laziness if my floors are still hairy!

This is awesome. Run it over a carpet just cleaned with our (very decent) dyson stick, and it takes up as much again. Check out the new eu labels that show performance cleaning different surfaces. Hepa filter too
