    Hi guys,
Took my test a few weeks ago and passed but I'm just curious about something the tester said.
In this pic I'm the black car [1] heading south and I have a green light, I want to turn right up Pembroke street...
There is heavy traffic coming against me with a steady stream of cars and trucks both continuing straight on and turning right in front of me onto Maine St[Red arrows]...

What would you do in this situation?
    Thanks,
    David.

This is what I would do in this situation.

The yellow box means cars should not stop in the box. However if you are turning right and have a green light you must proceed and wait in the yellow box and prepared to turn right when the way is clear.

When not to move - I would not move into the yellow box if I have to turn right and people on the opposite side of the road have the turn blocked - in which they shouldn't be in the yellow box but it happens.

If the way is clear move into position and turn right when safe to do so.

Also by you moving into the yellow box will not block cars turning from the opposite side so and when approaching I would try to be as much right as possible to allow cars behind me to safely pass on the left.
