As per thread title, their online system is automatically switching euro for gbp at checkout - meaning cost goes up a few quid unnecessarily.

    How do you prevent this?

    Don't be British? :pac:

Seriously, though, you can change the country and language with the little flag icon at the top; try setting it to Ireland instead of Great Britain and see if that prevents it from changing the currency.

If you book Ireland - UK - Ireland it will be Euro. If you book UK - Ireland - UK itll be sterling.

it turned out that it classed my Revolut card as a UK card (despite not having any GBP on it and not having a UK address reg'ed against it). Switched to spanish and all sorts until I deleted the card and made my regular irish visa debit card as default.

Immediately afterwards, went on to book a ferry via P and O. - quoted in euro's but when I went to checkout, it was showing in GBP! ....not logged in to any account or anything - so they had no idea what card I'd be using. Had to put the booking through via the phone.
