Myself and my husband and 2 kids (6,11) are thinking of staying in bella italia lake garda in the safari tents next june . A bit apprehensive about staying in a tent . Has anyone stayed in either bella italia or the safari tents who could give any advice?

not long back from Bella Italia since Jun, first time there

Your kids age is perfect for Bella Italia, they will love it

As for the Safari tents, they are located down to the front by the lake so in a really good location. Walked by them a few times. They are very well laid out, fully kitted, beds etc. Only concern would be air con. We were there in Jun and thankful for the AC in the mobile home. Wouldn't fancy a hot tent.

Other than that its a great place

Never been to Bella Italia but have experienced tent camping abroad in France. At night tents are much cooler than non A/C mobile homes. Once the sun goes down, tents cool down in no length. The safari tents are lovely, very spacious and airy but they will be hot during the day unless they are shaded and will anywhere else that is not air conditioned. Ask yourself how much time will you spend in your accommodation during the day ? There is a lovely overhang to the front of the safari tents which provides shade for eating.

Seem to recall the safari tents in BI are well shaded. Down by the lake front and near the shower blocks and shaded. Nice prime spot to be honest
