Hey everyone. I am planing to sell my F30 soon. Planing to move to UK as got a better job offer. Car was bought with money borrowed from the bank so selling to clear the debt.

Its a 2012, BMW 3 series, 320d, F30 EfficientDynamics, Auto with black dakota leather, professional sat nav and that flappy pedal transmission (I guess called sport auto transmission). Bought this december last year from a dealer in the UK and vrt paid. Mileage is 61000 km. Its glacier silver. Have also installed the mosconi gladen amp and speakers by germaniks. Also has BMW 18" alloys.

Cant think of other specs but please ask if i am missing anything.

Service history is in the IDrive and can possibly be checked with BMW?? Got some paperwork from the dealer showing dates of health checks and service.

Will appreciate suggestions re current value.

€12k or so looking at what's going from dealers would be a good starting point.

Thanks. Is that how much a dealer may offer or could I expect a bit more if I sell privately?

I'm seeing a bunch of them with higher mileage going for nearer 20k

Yes. I have been checking carzone and havent seen a similar car advertised less than 18-19k. Guess thats their initial demand. Would it be fair to put up an ad with a similar price?

I would think its a good bit more than that. More like 15, 16, 17. But then the Pound is real low at the moment which won't help. On carzone somewhat comparable ones range from 17 to 21. 12 sounds more like trade in value. Maybe Atlantic misread f30 for i30.

Thanks. Shocked at how low the pound is. Good time to be buying rather than selling. :(

Could always bring the car back, no? Might even get some VRT refund and get to keep your car.

Dont want to let the car go but underestimated the impact 459/month could have on finances. Might settle for a downgrade for the moment until i get back on my feet.

Ye 460/m is not peanuts. But I'd check out the option of VRT refund anyway. Might get a couple of grand or more. Put that against the loan and together with the better job maybe things don't look so bad.

Good to know VRT refund is an option. Thank you very much. Will definitely consider it if i could keep the car. Cheers.

For such car, you could probably get refund big enough to pay your debt for at least 7/8 months.

I paid 3600 for this car. I guess anything near 3k would set me up for a few months. Love the car and will try my best to keep it.
