    Hi guys,

I got a meteor 4g sim card in october 2016 and never used it.

    1. Is it still 'alive'

    2. Can I use its number (without activating it) to say i'm porting over from meteor.

Over 6 months without use - highly unlikely it's still "alive".

    Call them and ask.

Put it in a phone, if it is de-registered it won't lock on to the network and you will get an "inactive sim" message or similar.

You cannot use an inactive sim to port as the number that was assigned to it has been recycled back to the unused number database.

No, to get port in deals you need to receive a text normally.
