Damaged panel - Renault Master

Hi all, I caught my 161 Renault Master on a railing and damaged the panel right beside the sliding door. (See pic)

I went to a panel beater who said the best bet would be to replace the whole panel but when he came back to me he said the replacement panel would be €1000 and about €800 to fix and install it.

I'm from Waterford and I was wondering does anyone know where I could maybe go buy a panel myself or even a cheaper way of fixing it. I'm trying my best to avoid going thru the insurance company.

    Cheers

Maybe try one of those paintless dent removal places? I've been surprised at some of the results that can get. They'd likely get a lot of that dent out. Far cheaper than spraying the panel.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

That's nasty damage. To be honest there ain't a real cheap way out of it. If the job is not done correctly and the alignment of the new panels is out it will effect the sliding door runners and rails. Those doors are problematic without damage. Best of luck with it anyway.

That's way beyond what PDR could do.
