    Hi,

My dream is to build a residential living log house on a site in Kerry but have some concerns over planning permission application and best company to get to build the house. Has anybody built a log house in Kerry or Cork/Limerick that i would be able to visit and more importantly give me some idea on planning permission process? Would really appreciate any help on this.

Hi I live in one we built in 2001. Planning, insurance, mortgage was all very difficult but we found ways. We had an Irish company who built the house imported from Finland.
They were no so good and we had to do a lot of remodeling and repair after. But now so delighted with it. Might be a bit behind times as regards builders. (Ours went bust no surprise) but any help I can give ask away I live in Kildare
