Insert Stove

Which is better insert stove performance and reliability wise, the tuscon 5k or Henley Apollo 5kw?

We currently have an open fire. There is no wall vent in the room. Would we need a vent? Just thinking that we might be blocking off the current draft by putting in the insert stove but will the vent then create another draft.

    Thanks

yes you need a permanent vent under the building regs. ie. one that cannot be closed taken from the TGDs
    1.2 Air supply to appliances
    1.2.1 Each appliance should be:
    (a) room sealed, or
    (b) contained in a room space or compartment
which has a permanent ventilation opening.
If this opening is to an adjoining room or
space, then the adjoining room or space
should have a permanent opening of the
same size direct to external air. However,
in the case of fixed appliances designed to
discharge the products of combustion to
the room or space in which they are
located, i.e. fixed flueless appliances, the
room or space containing the appliance
    should have permanent ventilation
openings directly to the outside air

Can recommend some companies that supply and fit insert stoves in Dublin area. Can they do the vent also or is this something that should be done by a builder or specialist with vents? Any advice much appreciated

So, it seems that I got this installed (old thread search) in Nov 2011, been fine till last week when one of the ait intakes has stopped working, the adjustment setting, ie. whereas I used to be able to "trim" the air intake, it's now a free for all, no adjustment, full intake of air, no control, burning full speed.
Not a warranty issue, but you reckon the installers (very reputable Dub company) would service it and repair it?
    Cheers.
