    Right up until the 2000s, during the Northern Ireland troubles, people were being disappeared by the IRA.

    Is there any particular reason why a murderer would want their victims to disappear? This appears like a behavior pattern of a certain leader in the Republican movement.

    If a person was killed on behalf of an organization wouldn't the organization want people to know that?
