I'm traveling to Sweden and Amsterdam next month. I have a prescription for cialis and but a little bit paranoid regarding how I should pack it and will I be stopped at security or sniffer dogs or should I throw it in a suitcase I'm taking two packs of four

Bring your prescription if your worried. But it shouldn't be a problem

Depends on who you meet on the day at the security. These f*ckers seem to be the law unto themselves and make it up as they go along. They can make a problem out of any item you decide to take with you at their discretion

Hopefully they won't give you a hard time. :pac:

You'll more than likely be fine as long as it's for personal use, so don't take more than you need.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I brought antibiotics on a flight with me a few days ago, I had them displayed in the clear bag but security asked me to take then out and scan separately, it was no problem at all bringing them through once they know it's legit. I had my prescription with me too just in case

I think if you want to bring it on board you have put it in a small bag and leave it out for security to see.

No one recommends putting prescription medications in checked baggage, since checked baggage can get lost.

    Always carry it on.

+1 Always carry it in hand luggage.

Its not a problem carrying prescription medication, don't worry about it.
Only bring what you need for your trip, plus an extra day or two. Bring your prescription and, if possible, a cover note from your G.P., then there will be no issues.
If security do stop you all they will do is look at the meds, look at the scrip (and letter) and let you carry on.

Exactly. If you're insisting on checking it, put enough to last a couple of days in your carry on to tide you over til you can get more. I always have to have prescription meds with me and have never had hassle with flights. I always bring a copy of my prescription just in case, bit I've never been asked for it.

    No you don't.
We always have prescription meds with us when we travel and never leave them out, never ever had a problem.
Stopped once in Germany, showed them the prescription and a letter from the G.P. and sent on our way.

If you carry the prescription, and the drugs are legal, with or without prescription, in all countries that you are entering, it's legal. You should have little to no trouble on EU flights.

I believe that some Arabic countries are very strict, e.g. some non-prescription drugs in Ireland, maybe codeine or similar for example, may be illegal or require prescription there.

Yes. As long as you're not carrying a sh|t load, more than likely it'll go unnoticed.

It is definitely legal. I've travelled abroad many times for fertility treatment. As you can imagine I would have a lot of tablets, vials, syringes etc. I've always had my prescription and a note from my doctor saying I require the medication I'm travelling with. I simply leave it in my hand luggage and never call attention to it. Not once have I been questioned. Just be prepared with relevant documents and no problemo. Safe travels!

So you were stopped, and had a problem.

Best just to show them and deal with it there and then to be safe.

I always travel with a small apothecary in my carry on bag, tablets for all possibilities, and I've never once been asked about them. I've never even had to take them out of the bag.

Do bring a copy of the prescription though just in case.

I travel with a large selection of medicines for which i don't have prescriptions as they are intended for emergency use, antibiotics, anti inflammatories etc. I have never had to account for any of them in any country.
However i would be very careful about bringing codeine based medicines into some countries.

If you are going to UAE make sure you shove your Sudafed way up your butthole.
